Autumn Art Islands

Starts in Kansai International Airport.  Ends in Tokushima.   Fully booked

Spend an unforgettable 11 days in Shikoku, Japan's smallest and most remote main island. Discover the untouched beauty and cultural transformation of rural Japan on this 11-day tour. Begin the tour by island-hopping through the Seto Inland Sea, home to modern art and bucolic landscapes. Learn the traditional regional way of life and regional folk arts perfected over generations, and engage in hands-on activities such as Indigo dyeing, paper-making and savouring fish prepared by the fisherman. Enjoy dynamic sceneries from deep in the mountains to the rugged coastline while travelling through the island by private vehicle. We travel at a relaxed pace, allowing you to fully appreciate the remote areas and local communities.

This is a fully guided small group tour suitable for art and travel enthusiasts who seek the extraordinary. It is a far more profound experience than the normal organised trip. We travel in a private vehicle throughout the tour except for island hopping, which uses ferries and boats.
